Having spent my childhood
growing up in Dorset, my interests have always been
close to nature. From an early age I took delight
in being by the sea and learning about the plants
that grew in the hedgerows.
I enjoyed collecting
honey from our own beehives, cooking freshly caught
local mackerel, gathering eggs from our chickens
and picking fruit and vegetables which we grew in
our garden. |
Plant medicine and cooking have always
been of deep interest to me, so it was inevitable that
after many years of practice as a State Registered nurse,
my focus turned to natural therapies and nutrition. My
husband’s work took us and our three children overseas,
to New York and then to Tokyo where I was able to learn
about Eastern cultures. The many stresses which I experienced
while living abroad encouraged me to learn about psychology
and counselling. On my return to England I studied homoeopathy
in depth, qualifying as a Registered Homoeopath in the
year 2000 and then taking a formal, diploma course in Natural
Nutrition in 2006. I started my practice at the Hale Clinic
in 2002.
